Belgian FA Apologises Over Controversial Mbappe Video—-The Belgian football association issued an apology on Saturday after a video surfaced on their social media platforms featuring midfielder Amadou Onana making a controversial remark about French captain Kylian Mbappe.

The two teams are set to clash in the last 16 of the European Championship on Monday.

The now-deleted video showed comedian Pablo Andres singing, “Who will kick Mbappe’s shin?” Onana then appears in the clip, responding, “Amadou Onana.”

Belgian media spokesman Stefan Van Loock addressed the issue at the team’s daily press conference, stating, “The video was meant to be humorous but has been removed. We apologize to anyone who may have been offended. For us, this matter is now closed.”

The video sparked backlash on social media in France and garnered significant media attention. Pablo Andres, known for his work with the Belgian federation, often interviews players on YouTube and creates content for their social media channels.
