#UCLDRAW: #Arsenal, #Liverpool And Man City Learn Opponents—-Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Aston Villa are the four English sides who qualified for the competition, although it will be a very different look to the tournament we have been used to over the past couple of decades. A new format has been introduced with a 36-team league phase starting in September.

Arsenal will play eight matches in the new league phase, against eight different teams, split evenly between home and away games. The Gunners have been placed in Pot 2 due to their current UEFA coefficient ranking and will be drawn against two teams from each of Pot 1, Pot 2, Pot 3 and Pot 4. The likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are in Pot 1, while Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid are in Pot 2.

Teams from the same nation cannot be drawn against each other, meaning Arsenal will avoid Man City (Pot 1), Liverpool (Pot 1) and Aston Villa (Pot 4). The draw is set to be held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco and is due to start at 5pm UK time.

Each team was drawn against eight different opponents — four matches at home, and four away — two from each of the four seeded pots.

Teams from the same league could not be drawn against each other, and each club can play no more than two teams from one country.

The top eight teams will progress directly to the round of 16. Teams finishing between ninth and 24th place will advance to a knockout playoff stage, while the bottom 12 teams will be eliminated.

The dates, times and order of each team’s fixtures will be announced Saturday.

UCL: I’m Questioning Myself – Guardiola Responds To Man City’s 2-0 Defeat To Juventus—-Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said he is questioning himself after his team suffered a seventh defeat in 10 games against Juventus.

Dusan Vlahovic and Weston McKennie scored in Turin to seal a 2-0 Champions League victory.

City’s next fixture will be away to Paris Saint-Germain and another defeat could send them into the bottom eight of the table and leave the club facing the humiliation of crashing out of the competition.

With the Manchester Derby next on Sunday, Guardiola said he is beginning to question himself as his side lurch from one defeat to another.

“Of course [I am questioning myself]. I have my thoughts,” Guardiola said.

“I’m stable in good moments and bad moments. I try to find a way to do it. I’m incredibly honest. If we play good, we play good.

“The dressing room is stable. Win we are happy, lose we are not. What can we do? Feel sorry for ourselves. No, we improve it and go forward.”
