BREAKING: #Chelsea Thrashed Man Utd, Retain WSL Title—-In a stunning display, Chelsea secured their fifth consecutive Women’s Super League (WSL) title by defeating Manchester United 6-0 on the season’s final day.

Emma Hayes’ team edged out Manchester City for the championship on goal difference. This victory marks Hayes’ seventh WSL title as she concludes her tenure as Chelsea’s manager.

Entering the day tied on points but leading City by two in goal difference, Chelsea dominated at Old Trafford. Mayra Ramirez scored twice, with Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Sjoeke Nusken, Melanie Leupolz, and Fran Kirby, who is set to leave the club, each contributing goals.

Despite Manchester City’s 2-1 win against Aston Villa, thanks to goals from Mary Fowler and Lauren Hemp, they fell short by seven goals in the goal difference tally.

Hayes is set to take over as the manager of the United States women’s team ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

Throughout her illustrious career with Chelsea, Hayes has accumulated seven league titles, five FA Cups, two League Cups, and a Community Shield.
