#FuryUsyk: Oleksandr Usyk Defeats Tyson Fury To Become The Undisputed Heavyweight Champion—-Thecloudngr reports that the Ukrainian heavyweight boxer, Oleksandr Usyk has just defeated Fury to become the Undisputed Heavyweight World Champion.

Boxing has its first true heavyweight king in 24 years, and his name is Oleksandr Usyk.

The WBAWBO and IBF champion defeated WBC champion Tyson Fury by split decision (115-112, 113-114, 114-113) to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 2000.

The first: 115-112 for Usyk. The second: 114-113 for Fury. The third: 114-113 … for Oleksandr Usyk! Usyk is the first undisputed heavyweight champion of world since Lennox Lewis a quarter-century ago

Fury, comfortably ahead at the mid point and showboating throughout the early rounds, came undone when Usyk unleashed a brutal assault in the ninth round which unbalanced the Briton and forced him to take a standing count.

Although he survived that round to take the 12th, Usyk was awarded the victory on two judges cards and becomes the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the 21st century.

The fight is the first loss of Fury’s career.
