JUST IN: Erik Ten Hag To Continue As Manchester United Manager—Manchester United have decided to keep Erik ten Hag as manager after Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe conducted their end-of-season review.

There had been uncertainty over the future of Ten Hag after more than two weeks of waiting for a decision following their 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final. That came after United had finished in their lowest ever Premier League position, having ended the campaign down in eighth.

Ratcliffe held talks with Thomas Tuchel last week, but the former Bayern Munich boss is keen to take some time away from the dugout. Meanwhile, Gareth Southgate, Thomas Frank and Roberto De Zerbi emerged as other candidates if Ratcliffe decided to sack Ten Hag.

However, it has turned out that United will keep the Dutchman in charge going into the 2024/25 season. Negotiations are now set to start over a contract extension.

On the transfer front, United are continuing to be linked with a plethora of players ahead of the window opening. Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite is high up on their wish list while reports connecting them with Benfica’s Joao Neves and Crystal Palace duo Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are gathering pace.

Ineos are understood to want to make much-needed changes at United this summer and the transfer window will be crucial to those ambitions.
