Chelsea Romeo Lavia And Christopher Nkunku Injured, Jackson To Represent Senegal At Afcon—Chelsea summer addition Romeo Lavia has only featured once this season as a second half substitute In 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on the 27th of December 2023.

Christopher Nkunku has featured few times and was able to open his scoring account with Chelsea on his EPL debut against Wolves on Xmas eve as he missed out on yesterday FA Cup win over Championship side PNE due to precaution.

He’s set to return to the match day squad in their next outing against Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup semifinal or in their next Premier League game against Fulham at Stamford Bridge.

The coach is not happy about the continuos injury woes as the team is set for another busy transfer window this January with incoming and outgoings.

Chelsea are still without some of their key players such as Reece James, Ben Chilwel, Wesley Fofana and Carney Chukwuemeka to name a few.

Chelsea looking to add few names this January to help solve the attacking woes as the will also be without their joint top scorer Nicolas Jackson for a month as he is set to represent Senegal at the upcoming Afcon.

Porto could have added to their lead with the away side, even down to 10 men, forced to throw players forward, but failed to make them count and were punished by Maguire’s late header.

Despite salvaging something from the game, United have won only three of their first 10 matches of the season and, for the fourth European away game in a row, they failed to win despite having scored three goals.
