“Cheta M” To Be #Premiered On #Showmax Feb. 12—-Showmax, an online streaming platform has announced the premiere of its new epic drama series “Cheta M” on Feb.  12.

Dr Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, in Lagos.

Tejumola described Cheta M as a beautiful love story that will take viewers through various emotions.

She said the 130-episode series explored the extraordinary love story of Adanna and Nnanna, who must navigate a world where tension between the kingdoms of Mgberi and Ajaani had reached critical levels.

According to her, the series was  set against the backdrop of politics, spiritual interference and memory manipulation.

“The series features an impressive mix of upcoming acts including,  Oluchi Amajuoyi and Kingsley Nwachukwu, who played Adanna and Nnanna respectively.

“Cheta M is a great show. The storyline, production and the cast have made magic happen.

“They have created such a brilliant piece that will draw the viewers in. We expect that viewers will find pieces of themselves in the characters’ stories and enjoy every episode with relish while waiting for the next.

“We are proud of this title and cannot wait to see the viewers watch and engage with this title.

“Viewers can watch Cheta M only on www.showmax.com from Feb. 12, with new episodes showing weekly on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday,” she said.

Speaking ahead of the series premiere, the producer and director of Cheta M, James Omokwe said “Cheta M is one of our best shows so far.

“It radiates beauty on all levels. Each time I sit down in post-production, I am in awe of the marvel that is Cheta M.

“There is a deep sense of emotion in all the story threads of the show. Each character, on their journey to finding themselves, finding love, losing it and even clamouring for revenge, is part and parcel of why I love the show.

“This time, we have taken you on an alluring epic journey to the east. It is a beautiful story of love, desire and mystery.”

During a live broadcast of Big Brother Naija, Rivers State housemate and actress Isabella was filmed in an intimate encounter with fellow contestant Kayikunmi, who works as a banker. The duo’s interaction drew viewer attention when Isabella initiated close contact, allowing Kayikunmi to kiss her and fondle her body.

The pair later withdrew to the bedroom, where Kayikunmi was shown on camera briefly sucking Isabella’s b00bs—first through her clothing and then after she lifted her top. The moment sparked debate among viewers over the appropriateness of such act.

Rapper Olamide Gets Popular Lagos Bus-Stop “Charly Boy” Named After Him, As Bariga LCDA Honours Other Top Celebrities And Politician (SEE FULL LISTS)—-The Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State has officially renamed Charly Boy Bus Stop to Baddo Bus Stop, in recognition of popular rapper Olamide Adedeji, also known as Baddo, as part of a broader street renaming exercise to honour local and national icons.

The council chairman, Hon. Kolade Alabi David, whose tenure ended on Friday, announced the changes, stating that the move was part of efforts to acknowledge individuals who have elevated the community’s name both locally and globally through their craft and contributions.

“As an administration, we took our time to reflect on a number of our people who have put the name of our local council out on the global map through their respective God-given talents and craft, as well as eminent personalities in our Nation and our beloved state and Local Council who have contributed immensely to the development of our Nation and our State,” he said. “Today, we will be officially renaming streets in honour of the legacies.”

Other renamed streets include:

  • Ilaje Road → King Sunny Ade Road
  • Bariga Road → Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way
  • Community Road, Akoka → Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Road
  • Ajidagan Street → Olamide Adedeji (Baddo) Street
  • Ifeanyi Street → Abolore Akande (9ice) Street
  • Ayodele Street, Ladi-Lak → Tony Tetuila Street
  • Ilojo Crescent, Obanikoro → Bukayo Saka Street.

The changes come just weeks after Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA also renamed 24 streets in its jurisdiction.
