JUST IN: Vinicius Jr Suspended For Two LaLiga Games For Red Card At Valencia—-Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. has been handed a two-match suspension after the red card he saw during Friday’s match against Valencia in Mestalla. Vinicius pushed Valencia goalkeeper Dimitrievski and saw a straight red card.

He will miss the team’s next two LaLiga games against Las Palmas (home) and Valladolid (away).

Vinicius could’ve missed the upcoming Spanish Supercup had he been handed a more severe punishment, but he will be available when Real Madrid face Mallorca this Thursday and also in the potential Final against either Athletic Bilbao or FC Barcelona.

In his absence, Mbappe will likely be deployed on the left side of the attacking line, with either Bellingham or Rodrygo playing in the center of the offense.

Serie A Monday Fixtures Postponed Following Death Of Pope Francis
Italy’s top-flight soccer league Serie A has postponed all of Monday’s fixtures following the death of Pope Francis.
Pope Francis, the first Latin American leader of the Roman Catholic Church and a lifelong soccer fan has died, the Vatican said in a video statement on Monday.
He was 88, and had survived a serious bout of double pneumonia.
“Following the passing of His Holiness, Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A can confirm that today’s league games in Serie A and Primavera 1 have been postponed,” the league said in a statement.
“The date of the rearranged fixtures will be announced in due course.”
