Kebbi Gov’t. Gifts 24 Viable Vehicles To Legislators—-The Kebbi Government, has distributed 24 operational vehicles to members of the State House of Assembly.

Distributing the vehicles to the lawmakers in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, Gov. Nasir Idris reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing enabling environment for government officials to operate.

“We are making history again today, because we are handing over 24 vehicles to members of the state house of assembly to ease transportation challenges in their official engagements.

“This, will also enable them to be visiting their people to find out their predicaments and challenges.

“The gesture is in fulfilment of our campaign promise, in addition, we ‘ve distributed 30 operational vehicles to security agencies operating in the state and 28 to members of the State Executive Council, among others,” the governor said.

Idris advised the lawmakers to exhibit the fear God Almighty, “let me also enjoin you be just and fair to people of the state in your legislative businesses.

”We have more than five million people in this state, and God has given us the mantle of leadership to govern our people, not because we are better than them but for Him to try our capability and ability to see how we can treat the people.”

The governor thanked the Speaker, Alhaji Muhammad Usman-Ankwai alongside other members of the assembly for the cordial relationship the state executive council was enjoying.

This, according to him, had paved way for rapid growth and development of the state.

President Tinubu Appoint Rtd Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas As River State Administrator

According to latest report, Ibas will take over from Governor Siminalayi Fubara who was suspended for six months by President Tinubu following the declaration of a State of Emergency in the oil-rich State.

The development followed a prolonged political crisis in the State arising from the face-off between Fubara and 27 lawmakers.

Tinubu in a nationwide broadcast on Tuesday evening said: “By this declaration, the Governor of Rivers State, Mr Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, Mrs Ngozi Odu and all elected members of the House of Assembly of Rivers State are hereby suspended for an initial period of six months.

“In the meantime, I hereby nominate Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (Rtd) as Administrator to take charge of the affairs of the state in the interest of the good people of Rivers State. For the avoidance of doubt, this declaration does not affect the judicial arm of Rivers State, which shall continue to function in accordance with their constitutional mandate.

“The Administrator will not make any new laws. He will, however, be free to formulate regulations as may be found necessary to do his job, but such regulations will need to be considered and approved by the Federal Executive Council and promulgated by the President for the state.”

BREAKING: The Trump Administration Has Reportedly Halt All Aid to Ukraine—-Donald Trump administration press secretary Caroline Leavitt stated that the U.S. will no longer provide military assistance to Ukraine because their priority is peace negotiations.

This decision came after the controversy during Zelensky’s visit.

“We are no longer going to just write blank checks for a war in a very distant country without a real, lasting peace,” Leavitt said.

“It was great that the cameras were rolling because the American people and the whole world got to see what President Trump and his team are dealing with behind closed doors in negotiations with the Ukrainians,” she added.

Earlier, The Washington Post reported that the Trump administration is not ruling out halting all ongoing military aid shipments to Ukraine, worth billions of dollars.
