Ex-Lagos Governorship Candidate Jandor Urges for Unity and Peace During Ramadan and Lent Fasting—-Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, says Ramadan and Lent remind citizens of their shared duty to build a caring society.

Adediran, a former Lagos governorship candidate, spoke in a statement issued in Lagos by his spokesman, Pastor Gbenga Ogunleye.

Felicitating Muslims and Christians, he described Ramadan and Lent as seasons of deep reflection, sacrifice and renewed devotion to God.

He noted that both observances promote humility, compassion, discipline and service to humanity.

“These solemn seasons remind us of our shared responsibility to build a more caring, just and inclusive society.

“As we fast, pray and reflect, let us recommit to the collective good and a prosperous, progressive Lagos for all,” he said.

Adediran urged residents to pray for peace, unity and progress, while encouraging charity, tolerance and mutual respect among all faiths.

He wished Muslims a peaceful Ramadan and prayed that Lent would bring renewal and divine guidance to Christians across the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Muslims began Ramadan on Wednesday, while Christians marked Ash Wednesday, signalling the start of Lent.

Chelsea Handed Major Injury Boost

Chelsea Handed Major Injury Boost as James and Colwill Return—-Chelsea FC have received a timely boost ahead of a crucial run of fixtures, with captain Reece James and defender Levi Colwill both returning to full training.

Colwill, who has been sidelined since pre-season with a serious knee injury, is yet to feature for Chelsea’s first team this season. His absence has been keenly felt in defence, with the club forced to cope without one of its most highly rated young centre-backs.

The 23-year-old is now back in full training as he nears a long-awaited return, although he is expected to build match fitness gradually before being considered for senior selection.

Captain James, meanwhile, has also returned after his own injury setback, offering a significant boost in leadership and quality on the right flank.

With a series of important fixtures approaching, Chelsea will be encouraged by the return of both players as they aim to finish the season strongly.

While neither player may be rushed straight back into action, their availability at this stage of the campaign could prove crucial for the Blues.
