JUST IN: 1 Feared Dead, Others Rescued As Building Collapses In Lagos—-A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday at 10, Cameroon Street in Mushin, Lagos, where a building collapsed, resulting in the death of a child and the rescue of seven other residents from the rubble.

According to reports from residents, the collapse occurred amidst heavy downpours that have been affecting various parts of Lagos. Sympathizers were able to rescue seven individuals from the debris, but sadly, one child lost their life in the incident.

As of the time of reporting, emergency response from the Lagos rescue team had not yet arrived, leaving residents distressed and in urgent need of assistance.

The collapse underscores the dangers posed by structural vulnerabilities exacerbated by adverse weather conditions in urban areas. Efforts are ongoing to manage the aftermath of the collapse and provide support to affected residents during this challenging time.

BREAKING: Victor Osimhen Stars As Nigeria Beat Algeria To Set Up Morocco Semi-Final Clash—-The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the semi-final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Super Eagles pulled off a stunning display to beat Algeria 2-0 in their quarter-final clash on Saturday evening, to book their spot.

Eric Chelle’s men dominated the Desert Foxes for most of the first half, but failed to find the back of the net.

The closest Nigeria came to opening the scoring, came when Calvin Bassey’s effort was cleared off the line.

But in the second half, Victor Osimhen headed in Bruno Onyemaechi’s cross, before setting up Akor Adams for the second goal.

The three-time African champions will now clash with the hosts Morocco for a place in the final.

BREAKING: Allowance Standoff Puts Super Eagles’ AFCON Quarter-Final vs Algeria in Doubt—-Thecloudngr reports that the Nigerian Super Eagles team have threatened to boycott the quarter final match against Algeria over unpaid allowances.

According to BBC/Aljazeera writer, the Super Eagles players won’t train or travel to Marrakech for the QF game against Algeria if their unpaid allowances for Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda & Mozambique games are not PAID.

Moreso, sports journalist Olúwashínà Okeleji also revealed that the squad is awaiting payment for bonuses accrued from victories against Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Mozambique.

“Players and coaching staff of #Nigeria are waiting on #AFCON2025 bonus payments. Win bonuses from four matches – vs Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda & Mozambique – have yet to be received. Squad remain focus but will NOT train or travel to Marrakech on Thursday if this isn’t resolved,” Oluwaseun posted.
