OFFICIAL: Liverpool Immortalised Jota No20 Jersey Number To Honour His Tragic Passing—-Tributes from all around the football community and otherwise have poured in for the Jota, 28, and his brother Andre Silva, 26, who also passed away in the accident.

Diogo Jota’s No. 20 jersey at Liverpool will be “immortalised” by the club in memory of the Portuguese forward who tragically passed away in a car accident in Spain on Thursday, Liverpool said in a statement.

Tributes from all around the football community and otherwise have poured in for the Jota, 28, and his brother Andre Silva, 26, who also passed away in the accident.

Born in Porto, Jota started his playing career through Paços de Ferreira’s youth setup before moving to Atlético Madrid in 2016, followed by a loan spell at Porto and a transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

But it was at Liverpool that he had his best professional stint, winning the FA Cup and League Cup under manager Jurgen Klopp before being victorious in the Premier League under Arne Slot in the 2024/25 season.

He was also part of the Portugal squad that won the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and 2025.

Liverpool has never retired a jersey number in tribute to a player before. Details of the tribute to Jota too are unclear but fans have called for the club to make an exception for the gifted late forward.

Let Mikel Arteta Arsenal Win The League

Frustrated Arsenal Fans Plead with Pep Guardiola to Let Mikel Arteta Arsenal Win The League (VIDEO)—-A group of frustrated Arsenal fans have gone viral after making an emotional plea to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola amid the intensifying Premier League title race.

In clips circulating on social media, the supporters were heard shouting toward Guardiola, begging him to ease the pressure on Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as the title battle reaches a decisive stage.

“Pep, please let Arteta win the league!” one fan shouted, while another added, “Let Arteta win something!” A third voice could be heard saying, “Pep, you’ve ruined my life,” capturing the raw emotions of fans watching their side’s title hopes slip under City’s relentless form.

The reactions come as Manchester City narrow victory against already relegated Burnley move them to the top of the table, while Arsenal now sit second on goal scored, piling pressure on Arteta’s side in the final stretch of the season.

Guardiola’s team, known for their consistency and late-season surges, have once again emerged as strong contenders, threatening to overtake Arsenal despite trailing for much of the campaign.

For Arsenal fans, the moment reflects a mix of frustration, admiration, and resignation, as they watch a familiar story unfold — their title ambitions being challenged by City’s dominance.

Meanwhile, Arteta remains focused on keeping his squad composed, knowing any slip-up could prove costly in what has become one of the most tightly contested title races in recent years.
