Tinubu Mourns Oba Agbabiaka Of Isolo, Adeola Olushi III—-President Bola Tinubu has received the news of the passing of the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka (Adeola Olushi III), with deep sadness.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Ngelale said that the President condole with the family of the deceased, the Council of Obas and Chiefs, as well as the Government and people of Lagos State.

”While mourning the passing of Oba Agbabiaka, the President urges his family and everyone grieving this painful loss, to take solace in the remarkable legacy left behind by the departed.

”President Tinubu prays to God Almighty to grant the soul of the late monarch peaceful repose and his family the strength to bear the huge weight of his passing,” Ngelale said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the deceased, aged 64, passed away on Wednesday after observing the Eid prayers.

JUST IN: Court Grants Dele Farotimi N50m bail Over Alleged Defamation On Afe Babalola—-Human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, has been granted bail by the Ekiti State High Court.

The court granted Farotimi bail in the sum of N50 million, with a surety of the same amount.

The court ruled that the surety must possess a landed property and adjourned the matter to January 29, 2025, for further proceedings.

Farotimi was taken to court by Chief Afe Babalola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, after being arrested by operatives of the Ekiti State Police Command.

Babalola, 95, accused Farotimi of defaming him in a book titled Nigeria and Its Criminal Justice System.

The arrest sparked outrage across the country, prompting civil society organizations and the Nigerian Bar Association to call for the activist’s release.

The ex Marlian dancer took to his social media page to allege that the Marlian Record boss, Naira Marley and Zinoleesky had reportedly abducted him and beat him up.

Additionally, he claimed that his valuables, including his wallet containing $300 and his house key, were taken from him.

He showed off the bruises he had allegedly sustained from the incident.
