Hazard Inducted Into The Premier League Hall of Fame

Chelsea Legendary Winger Eden Hazard Inducted Into The Premier League Hall of Fame—-Eden Hazard has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, with the Chelsea legend becoming the 26th recipient of the individual honour.

Hazard joins six other Blues legend like John Terry, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Petr Cech and Ashley Cole in receiving the award. The Belgian played his football at Stamford Bridge from 2012 until 2019, where, in the Premier League, he made 245 appearances, scored 85 goals, provided 54 assists and lifted two titles.
The now 34-year-old was named the Premier League’s Player of the Season for his role in Chelsea’s 2014/15 triumph, where Hazard scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists in 38 appearances across the course of the campaign. Hazard also played a starring role as the Blues lifted the league title under Antonio Conte in 2016/17, where he scored 16 goals and recorded five assists.
Hazard has been speaking about what it means to him to receive the highest individual honour awarded by the Premier League. He said: “For a small Belgian guy from Braine-le-Comte just playing football for fun, being inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame with these great players at 34 years old is incredible.

“My dream was to play at the highest level and I did it, so I am really happy. Week after week, you have big games, and at the end of the season, you lift a trophy with your teammates. It’s a beautiful feeling.

“When you score goals, when you win trophies, you just want more. I am proud to know I did a few good things for seven years in the Premier League.

“We don’t play the game alone, so this is for all the people who have supported me – my family, my teammates and the fans, my friends – this is for us all.”

Jose Mourinho, who led Chelsea to the 14/15 Premier League title where Hazard played such a crucial role, said: “Eden, many congratulations on joining the Premier League Hall of Fame.

“Everybody knows that you belong there. You are one of the most amazing players that I ever worked with and of course you have to be there. You are in the Hall of Fame so now you stay in our memories – and by the way, thank you so much for helping me win my last Premier League title!”

Hazard joins Gary Neville, who was inducted over the weekend, and the pair will be formally honoured at the 2025 Premier League Hall of Fame event on Tuesday, November 4. All inductees receive a medallion engraved with their name and the year of their induction, along with a £10,000 donation made by the Premier League to a charity of their choice.

The Chelsea icon is the latest in a long list of legends already in the Hall of Fame, including: David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Alan Shearer, Sergio Aguero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Wayne Rooney, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Patrick Vieira, Ian Wright, Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Tony Adams, Petr Cech, Rio Ferdinand, Ashely Cole, Andy Cole, John Terry and Gary Neville.
