‘’Truck Involved In The Okene Accident Not Our Own’’ – Dangote Cement Clarifies—-Dangote Cement Plc has disowned a truck laden with cement that collided with a bus on Okene-Lokoja bypass in Kogi State, leading to the death of some passengers.

The company however expressed sadness over the incident and condoled with the families of the victims, urging the public to disregard the erroneous news, that its truck was responsible for the fatal accident.

Dangote Group’s Chief Branding & Communications Officer, Tony Chiejina in the statement explained that from various background checks from our Transport and Logistics Unit, the truck in question belonged to a third party who was using it for his cement business, adding that, “it does not belong to Dangote Cement.”

According to him, Dangote Cement has put several measures in place to curb the menace of road accidents. Some of these measures, he stated include frequent and regular training for drivers, constant checks, and maintenance of trucks among others.

Contrary to reports alluding, the ownership of the truck to Dangote Cement, the company in a statement, said, “We state categorically that the truck laden with cement which was involved in the said crash does not belong to us.”

BREAKING: Victor Osimhen Stars As Nigeria Beat Algeria To Set Up Morocco Semi-Final Clash—-The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the semi-final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Super Eagles pulled off a stunning display to beat Algeria 2-0 in their quarter-final clash on Saturday evening, to book their spot.

Eric Chelle’s men dominated the Desert Foxes for most of the first half, but failed to find the back of the net.

The closest Nigeria came to opening the scoring, came when Calvin Bassey’s effort was cleared off the line.

But in the second half, Victor Osimhen headed in Bruno Onyemaechi’s cross, before setting up Akor Adams for the second goal.

The three-time African champions will now clash with the hosts Morocco for a place in the final.

BREAKING: Allowance Standoff Puts Super Eagles’ AFCON Quarter-Final vs Algeria in Doubt—-Thecloudngr reports that the Nigerian Super Eagles team have threatened to boycott the quarter final match against Algeria over unpaid allowances.

According to BBC/Aljazeera writer, the Super Eagles players won’t train or travel to Marrakech for the QF game against Algeria if their unpaid allowances for Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda & Mozambique games are not PAID.

Moreso, sports journalist Olúwashínà Okeleji also revealed that the squad is awaiting payment for bonuses accrued from victories against Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Mozambique.

“Players and coaching staff of #Nigeria are waiting on #AFCON2025 bonus payments. Win bonuses from four matches – vs Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda & Mozambique – have yet to be received. Squad remain focus but will NOT train or travel to Marrakech on Thursday if this isn’t resolved,” Oluwaseun posted.
