Armed Forces College Completes Training In Asymmetric Warfare—The Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, Kaduna State, has completed the training of its Senior Course 44 students in asymmetric warfare, to tackle such threats anywhere across the country.
The Commandant of AFCSC, AVM Olurotimi Tuwase said at the closing ceremony of `Exercise Sea Lion’ at the college on Thursday, that the training was to enhance the capacity of the participants.
Tuwase said the college would continue to enhance the knowledge of Nigerian Armed forces personnel and its allies on manoeuvers and applications to curb the myriads of asymmetric threats.
He explained that the exercise was designed at enriching students’ knowledge on planning and conduct of joint operations involving land, maritime and air assets.
The commandant added that `Exercise Sea Lion’ was used to train the participants on campaign plans, delivery of mission directives and planning as well as technicalities of wars.
He expressed satisfaction over the students’ performance during the two weeks exercise, but urged them to sustain the tempo, as they would be required to deploy the knowledge in the war field.
Tuwase, therefore, advised them to take special interest on the teaching points, observations and comments made by the directing staff and instructors, to enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies
