Chelsea Lost To Middlesbrough In The EFL Cup As Cole Palmer Misfire —Chelsea lost to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium as England under 21 Hayden Hackney scores the only goal of the match at 37th minute to secure first leg win.

Chelsea summer addition Cole Palmer misfire as he miss loads of chances and today can be tagged as his worst outing since joining the team from Manchester City in September 2023.

Palmer looks so unhappy after the full time as he’s seen entering straight in to the dressing room right after the final whistle.

Chelsea will now be hoping to overcome the deficit at Stamford Bridge and proceed to the next round of the game as it looks more of a chance for them to lift a silverware this season.

Former Manchester United and Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick was really pleased with his team performance as they were able to protect their lead from 37th minute till the final whistle.

Carrick is hoping to see his team advance to next round of the game as that will mark his first final as a manager and it’s going to be a great achievement for him.

Chelsea still looking to add a goal poacher to their team as the forward keeps misfiring and they’ve been creating loads of chances but the attack has been very poor this season as they couldn’t take their chances.

Chelsea has been link with likes of Napoli Victor Osihmen, Brenford Ivan Toney and Sporting CP Viktor Gyökeres as they’ve been weighing for the best fit so as to not just sign anyone and it’s more likely they’d wait on Victor Osihmen to join in the summer of 2024.

Victor Osihmen looks real deal and possibly the perfect fit for their ongoing project.
