Ijebu-Ode Royal Family Dismisses Musician Wasiu Ayinde’s Assertion of Ancestral Ties to the Awujale Stool—-In an official letter dated 11 December 2025 and signed by senior members of the ruling house, the family confirmed that it had received the completed particulars and lineage form submitted by Otunba Adesanya.

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, has officially dismissed the lineage claim submitted by Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Adewale, popularly known as KWAM 1, declaring his completed linkage form invalid.

KWAM 1 had expressed interest in succeeding as the Awujale of Ijebuland, basing his eligibility on an alleged ancestral link to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu-Ode— a claim that has now been challenged.

In an official letter dated 11 December 2025 and signed by senior members of the ruling house, the family confirmed that it had received the completed particulars and lineage form submitted by Otunba Adesanya.

The letter was shared on X by the media aide to President Bola Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga on Thursday .

Onanuga also hails from Ijebu-Ode.

“We write to confirm the receipt of the above competed form dated 10th December 2025 and signed by your good self.”

However, the ruling house raised concerns over the certification process, noting that the form was endorsed before it was signed by the applicant.

“Curiously, the form was certified by a purported family unit head, one Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo on 8th December 2025, two days before your good self signed it. In other words, the form was presigned.”

Responding to the certification, the ruling house stated: “The form was not signed by the authorised representative (Family Head) of your purported Family Unit Head.”

It further questioned the legitimacy of the individual who certified the form.

“Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo is not a registered member of the Jadiara Royal House and therefore, has no locus standi to sign any linkage form on behalf of the family.”

The ruling house also said its inquiry did not confirm the applicant’s membership.

“Our extensive investigation has not revealed any proof of your membership of the Jadiara Royal House or indeed that of Fusengbuwa Ruling House.”

As a result, the form was declared invalid. “Consequently, the completed linkage lineage form is hereby declared null, void and of no consequence.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, your claim to the membership of Fusengbuwa Ruling House is rejected and the completed form is of no consequence. Please accept our best wishes for your future endeavours.”

The letter was signed by Otunba Lateef Owoyemi (Chairman), Pastor Prince Bola Salami (General Secretary), Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba (Deputy Chairman), Otunba Akinola Odedina (Head of Jadiara Royal House), Chief Prof. Fassy A. O. Yusuf (Vice-Chairman), and Ath. Adebisi Quadri (Co-Head Jadiara Royal House).

The family head, Otunba Abdul  Lateef  Adebayo also endorsed the position.

It would be recalled that Fuji musician and legend, Wasiu Ayinde, declared his intention to be considered for the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland.

KWAM 1, as he is popularly called  in a letter dated December 3, 2025, addressed to the Fusengbuwa ruling house of Agunsebi Quarters, claimed to be a bona fide son of the Oba Jadiara lineage.

The musician said, “Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Adewale Olasunkanmi Omogbolahan Anifowoshe, MON, hereby formally notifies the Fusengbuwa Ruling House of my intention to be considered for the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland, subject strictly to the provisions of Ijebu customary law and the Ogun State Chieftaincy Laws.

“I was born on 3rd March 1957, and I am a bona fide son of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House of Agunsebi Quarters, tracing my ancestry to the Oba Jadiara lineage, which qualifies me to present myself for consideration in accordance with established tradition.”

“I have devoted over five decades to the promotion of Ijebu, Yoruba and Nigerian culture through music and cultural enterprise,” he wrote in the letter.

21-Year-Old Woman Dies After Staff Allegedly Forget Safety Rope During Brazil Bridge Jump (VIDEO)—-Tragic rope-jump accident in São Paulo leaves young woman dead as authorities detain six people and launch an investigation into safety failures.

A 21-year-old woman has died after being launched from a bridge during a rope-jump activity without being attached to the required safety rope in the Brazilian city of Limeira, São Paulo state. The victim, identified as Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, fell approximately 40 metres after staff allegedly failed to secure her safety equipment before the jump.

The fatal incident occurred at the Ponte do Esqueleto trail, a popular destination for adventure sports enthusiasts. Video footage circulating on social media reportedly shows instructors carrying the woman to the jump platform before releasing her. Moments later, witnesses can be heard shouting that the rope had not been attached.

Emergency responders, including firefighters and paramedics, rushed to the scene but were unable to save her. She was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. Authorities say witness statements indicate a critical safety lapse may have occurred before the jump.

Brazilian police detained six individuals connected to the operation as investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Reports indicate that some workers attempted to leave the area following the incident before being located by authorities.

The companies linked to the rope-jump operation have come under intense scrutiny as officials investigate potential negligence and safety protocol violations. The case has reignited debate over safety standards in Brazil’s growing extreme-sports industry.

BREAKING: Vinícius Rescues Brazil as Morocco Hold Selecao to Thrilling World Cup Opener—-Morocco stunned the five-time champions with an early breakthrough before Vinícius Júnior’s moment of brilliance earned Brazil a hard-fought 1-1 draw in Group C.

Brazil were forced to settle for a point in their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a spirited Morocco side held the South American giants to a 1-1 draw in a captivating Group C encounter at MetLife Stadium.

The Atlas Lions struck first in the 21st minute when Ismael Saibari latched onto a perfectly weighted pass from Brahim Díaz before calmly lifting the ball over goalkeeper Alisson Becker to give Morocco a deserved lead. The African side’s intensity and organization troubled Brazil throughout the opening stages.

Brazil responded through their star man Vinícius Júnior, who produced a moment of individual brilliance in the 32nd minute. The Real Madrid winger drove into the box and unleashed a powerful finish beyond Yassine Bounou to restore parity and ignite the Brazilian supporters.

Despite enjoying more possession after the break, Brazil struggled to break down a disciplined Moroccan defence. Morocco, meanwhile, continued to threaten on the counterattack and arguably created the clearer opportunities in the closing stages.

The result leaves Group C finely poised, with both teams earning a valuable point in what was billed as one of the most anticipated fixtures of the opening round. While Brazil avoided an early setback thanks to Vinícius’ heroics, Morocco once again demonstrated why they remain one of the most dangerous sides on the international stage.
