Primate Ayodele’s Prophecies: A Cautionary Tale for Nigeria’s Powerful Elite—-By Osuji David, Lagos

Knowledge, they say, is power. Whatever you don’t know is totally beyond you, whoever has more knowledge than you is absolutely above you and should be accorded the honour whenever he or she speaks especially about things you are oblivious about.

Powerful men in Nigeria especially within the political and business sector assume that they know everything, they get too carried away sometimes about their successes that they fail to even acknowledge God in their dealings, they ignore his prophets despite the fact that they don’t have an idea about what will happen to them in the nearest future.

The bible says ‘My people perish because of lack of knowledge’, this implies that when you have knowledge about what is to come, you can’t perish by it because you get prepared for whatever is it and either good or bad, you find your way around it but when you have no idea about what is to come, sudden perish is inevitable.

Prophets are the mouthpiece of God, HE speaks through them and reveals to them things to come. The bible explained that nothing happens without the knowledge of prophets because God would have spoken to them beforehand but it is now surprising that many fail to acknowledge these God’s messengers.

For every nation, there is a prophet. In Nigeria, we have Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church doing the good works of a prophet. He shares prophecies almost every day through different channels which include an annual prophecy book titled Warnings To The Nations, notable digital and print news media, his social media pages, etc.

On these channels, Primate Ayodele ensures clarity in all his prophecies, he goes about mentioning the names of people, corporations, companies and tells them what they should expect in the near future. He tells them the challenges they would face and proffer solutions to get through them when they arrive but all he gets is people calling him a ‘prophet of doom’ instead of listening and coming to terms that Primate Ayodele is a true prophet considering his significant antecedents.

The chairman of Dangote group, Aliko Dangote has not had rest for some months and has technically declared war on the Nigerian government for trying to disparage his multi-billion naira refinery. Dangote has never been so vocal like he has been in the last few weeks; he has been granting several interviews to talk about his challenges. Meanwhile, when he newly launched the refinery, Primate Ayodele in a video shared on his social media page warned him to be careful of confrontation with the government. The prophet categorically mentioned that Dangote would encounter huge challenges that will lead to a face-off between him and the government. As he said, it has happened but if he had listened, it may not have gotten this messy.

The former MD of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe died a painful death alongside his wife and child. It was after his death that it was revealed that Primate Ayodele went to meet him personally at his office some years back and asked him to pray against untimely death. According to reports, Wigwe was scared and said Primate Ayodele was talking like a wizard because his prophecies were ‘too accurate to be true’. Instead of listening and doing the necessary things, He took offense and unfortunately, what was foretold happened.

It would also be recalled that in 2020 during Covid-19 era when Nigeria lost very important personalities, Primate Ayodele warned that the disease was going to take the lives of powerful people. He warned that they should all pray and cleanse themselves spiritually if they want to survive the wave but sadly, many didn’t listen and of course, important personalities in the political and business world kicked the bucket.

Likewise, before the death of the former chief of staff to ex-President, Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, Primate Ayodele said that the presidential villa needed a spiritual cleansing against death and other unpleasant occurrences but it wasn’t done and the highest ranking aide of the president had to pay for it.

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan may have still continued his reign on the seat if he listened to the several warnings of Primate Elijah Ayodele. It is on record that the prophet warned him against some of his policies which later turned his back against the citizens of Nigerians.

Also, Andy Uba, a foremost Anambra politician will not forget Primate Ayodele anytime soon due to the role he played in the last governorship election in the state. Before APC held its primary, Primate Ayodele already mentioned the names of some politicians that won’t win even if they get their party’s ticket. He mentioned that Andy Uba would be a waste of ticket because he isn’t destined to be governor of Anambra state. Instead of listening to the prophet, Andy Uba engaged in media attacks against Primate Ayodele, called him different names, lied against him but sadly, he lost the election and later on, was disqualified as a candidate in the election.

Another person who toiled this path was NNPP’s candidate in Edo state, Pastor Ezena Friday whom after Primate Ayodele said he won’t have any impact in the election, launched a media attack against the prophet and now, he doesn’t even get mentioned anymore.

On the international scene, Primate Ayodele warned the former president of Gabon, Ali Bongo to voluntarily exit power to avoid being removed by the military but he failed to listen and it happened. In the last US election, Primate Ayodele warned the republican not to field Donald Trump but they ignored and lost the election. He warned Rishi Sunak of removal as UK Prime minister, George Weah’s loss as Liberia’s president, Joe Biden’s health challenges, to mention but a few.

Just a few hours ago, it was announced that a prominent politician and the senator representing Anambra South senatorial district has died in the United Kingdom. He was aged 52 and truly, his death was too sudden and shocking because he was still active weeks back before travelling to the UK a few days ago.

It is also on record that Primate Ayodele had spoken severally about Ifeanyi Ubah who was until his death, nursing the ambition of becoming the next governor of Anambra state. He joined the APC earlier this year to pursue his ambition and recently donated about N50 million to the party. Primate Ayodele had said that Ifeanyi Ubah would be the one to unseat the current governor, Charles Soludo if the APC gives him the governorship ticket. The prophet assured in different interviews that Ifeanyi Ubah had all it takes to be the next governor of Anambra state but earlier this month during the release of his annual prophecy book titled Warnings To The Nations on Saturday, 6th of July, 2024, Primate Ayodele stated that the politician will have challenges in becoming the next governor of the state. Also in the prophecy booklet, He warned senators to pray not to lose any senator.

‘’ THE SENATE: The Body will have a lot of issues/motions to put in order as they will be immersed in a lot of controversies. The members must pray not to lose any Senator as I foresee that some principal officers will be changed. The Senate will fight because of money The Body must rebuke fire outbreaks in their chambers and it will also take drastic decisions in addressing developmental issues of the Government. Let the Senate be wary of rowdy session’’

The question is, what did Primate Ayodele see that made him say Ifeanyi Ubah would face challenges in becoming the next governor of Anambra state after saying he had all it takes to unseat Charles Soludo? It should be believed that Primate Ayodele saw something before turning around to say the astute politician would face challenges. This is why politicians and powerful individuals need to pay attention to warnings from prophets like Primate Ayodele who have great antecedents of credibility.

Primate Ayodele may not have mentioned that kind of challenges Ifeanyi Ubah would face, may not have explicitly asked the senate to pray not to lose Ifeanyi Ubah but his prophecies surrounding the career of Ifeanyi Ubah indicates that he actually saw something.

This is another warning to those that are considered as powerful in Nigeria; they may be knowledgeable in their business and political careers, they may have achieved all the success they need but there are somethings that are simply above them. A prophet may not be as rich as they are but he is God’s messenger and should be consulted from time-to-time especially when he says a thing they can’t comprehend.

Chelsea Defeat Stubborn Pafos

Moises Caicedo Lone Goal Helps Chelsea Defeat Stubborn Pafos On Liam Rosenior UCL debut—-Moises Caicedo’s late goal gave Chelsea a vital 1-0 win against Cypriot minnows Pafos on Wednesday as the Blues moved closer to automatic qualification for the Champions League last 16.

Chelsea’s fourth victory from seven Champions League group stage matches lifted them into eighth place.

A win at Napoli in their final group game on January 28 would likely be enough to send Chelsea through to the last 16, depending on other results.

The Blues would face the unwanted stress of a play-off round if they finish outside the top eight.

Rosenior has won three times and lost once in his first four games since arriving from Strasbourg to replace Enzo Maresca, who left Stamford Bridge after mounting tensions with the club’s hierarchy.

It was far from plain sailing for Rosenior as Chelsea struggled to find a way past inspired Pafos keeper Jay Gorter before Caicedo made the breakthrough.

Optimistic Chelsea fans have noted their two Champions League triumphs in 2012 and 2021 came after they changed manager in mid-season.

But there is a long way to go before Rosenior can hope to emulate those iconic victories masterminded by Roberto Di Matteo and Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea have been steady rather than eye-catching so far under Rosenior, with far sterner tests lying in wait in the surprise choice to replace Maresca.

Wake-up call

Rosenior made six changes from the 2-0 win over Brentford on Saturday, with injured England forward Cole Palmer absent due to a slight strain.

Brazilian veteran David Luiz, a 2012 Champions League winner with Chelsea, was on the bench for Pafos, who were far from overawed in their first ever match against English opposition.

Chelsea laboured for long periods and even when Enzo Fernandez had the ball in the net in the 18th minute, the midfielder’s close-range header was disallowed for a push.

Chelsea nearly gifted Pafos a shock opener when a wayward back-pass to Filip Jorgensen was almost intercepted by Anderson Silva, but the Blues keeper chested the ball away from danger.

Rosenior’s men had lost their momentum and Pafos went close when Jaja’s shot from just inside the area took a wicked deflection off Reece James and hit the post with Jorgensen rooted to the spot.

That near-miss served as a wake-up call and Caicedo’s blast was pushed away by Gorter before Benoit Badiashile glanced a header narrowly wide moments later.

Caicedo’s long-range drive forced another good stop from Gorter, who also repelled Jorrel Hato’s fierce strike just before half-time.

Frustration was mounting among Chelsea supporters and Rosenior made a double change at the break, sending on Robert Sanchez for Jorgensen and Estevao Willian for James.

Estevao nearly made an instant impact with a stinging volley that Gorter saved at full stretch.

Gorter was enjoying the game of his life and he denied Pedro Neto and Caicedo with two more fine saves.

To Rosenior’s immense relief, Chelsea finally found a way past Gorter in the 78th minute.

Pafos couldn’t clear a corner and Caicedo arrived to flick his header into the far corner from close range.

INEC’s document also highlights the wide disparity in educational backgrounds among the candidates and their deputies, a development that has already sparked conversations among political observers and voters in the state.

With the final list now public, political parties are expected to intensify campaigns ahead of the governorship poll, which is seen as a critical test of voter sentiment in Ekiti State amid economic hardship, governance concerns, and growing youth political engagement.

INEC has reiterated its commitment to conducting a free, fair, and credible election, warning parties and candidates to adhere strictly to electoral laws and campaign regulations.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had fixed the governorship elections in Ekiti states for Saturday, June 20
